World’s First Rechargeable IIC Hearing aids - Discreet hearing aids just got better (Signia Silk Charge&Go IX)

Discreet hearing aids just got better

Signia has launched its new platform, IX. They claim that the platform will provide clear speech sound in noisy environments due to its significant processing power. (More information on this topic will be covered in the next blog post).

From this platform, they released an IIC (Invisible In the Canal) hearing aid that is now rechargeable, which is the world's first in this size. Traditional IIC hearing aids usually need a size 10 hearing aid battery, which needs replacing every 3-4 days. This was a big obstacle for people who wanted discreet hearing aids, but did not have enough dexterity.

Silk hearing aids from Signia have been popular in the past due to their small size and the fact that they don't require custom shells. Their EarWear 3.0 comes in various sizes, making them a good option for people with normal hearing in the low frequencies who want a discreet hearing aid. Adding a rechargeable option to the Silk range has made their discreet hearing aids even more attractive.

Stylish and Convenient Charger

Signia Silk comes with a pocket-sized case with an integrated power bank capable of charging for up to four days. What's more, the charger can be wirelessly charged (Qi) for added convenience.

Two Colour Options

Comes with two colours - Mocha and Black Faceplates

The Faceplate comes with a soft textured surface to avoid reflections for discreetness.

Silk does not need to make a custom shell and can accommodate various ear canal sizes and shapes by use of their EarWear 3.0, or for further added comfort, custom mould can be designed.

Hearing aid Control

Signia Silk IX can be controlled by the My Signia app for real-time adjustment, which uses acoustic pairing. This is not a standard Bluetooth connection, but this clever technology allows the Silk IX users to control volume or change programs.

Who is it best for?

Signia Silk can be a great hearing aid for people who are interested in hearing aids but do not like the look and size of it or are put off by the need to change the battery frequently.

Its discreetness and ease of use and the addition of rechargeability options made the use and maintenance of hearing aids much simpler and more attractive. Due to its limited size for discreetness, Signia Silk IX cannot perform as well as their Pure Charge&Go range, but Signia Silk has been around for a while now and proved it can help hearing aid users to hear well in the places where needed.
